I still can't quite believe I just ran for 20 minutes without stopping! I've never been a runner or sporty in general. I've had 3 kids as well. My youngest is 1 next week. Wow!
This programme really does work. I've had to repeat a couple of weeks due to illness & snow but I've kept going.
If you're new to this c25k or feel you're struggling please please keep going because it feels bloody brilliant when you achieve each milestone. I'm no different to any beginner. There's nothing special about me. YOU CAN DO IT!!!

Well done you.....fantastic,it really is amazing what you can achieve.......this is my run tomorrow and I am really not sure if I will be able to run 20 mins straight......😀
I didn't set out thinking i could do it. It seemed such a big jump but i just thought I'd do as much as i could. Turns out i could do it. Good luck for your run. If it doesn't go as planned just try again another day xx
Haha i don't think so but i know I'll watch the London Marathon with no guilt as I'm actually going out running instead of just thinking I'll do it one day!
Just keep going and don't let a bad run put you off. I've had great runs and awful runs when all i could do it walk.
One of the best things I've ever done is this c25k. Good luck to you x
Congratulations! Am slightly envious as w5r3 has arrived for me too today and am very apprehensive as I struggled to run the complete w5r2; only managing 7 minutes of the second 8 minute run. 😥 It was a very warm on Wednesday which I think may have been the reason and am definitely watching the temperature today. Had more DOMS pain than ever yesterday throughout most of my legs but feel much better today. Question is do I bite the bullet and go for full 20 mins or redo 2x 8 mins? 🤔 We'll done again 👌
Keep going, you were close enough! I struggled in the heat on Wednesday, too but no problem doing the 20minutes today, the first half was harder than the last. I slowed down, even more, and concentrated on my route and avoiding all upward slopes. I even sped up a bit for the last 2 minutes. I went out earlier today and ate something 1.5 hrs before I ran, I prefer not to for the shorter runs. You have to set yourself up to succeed, and believe in yourself and the past 5 weeks. You really can do it.
Thanks for the pep talk 😀 and I'm glad to say I've just done the full 20 mins admittedly at about 6-6.5km/hr but in this heat I'll take that anyday. Yes I too was over conscious of nutrition and hydration this time but it worked out well eating something about 1.5/2 hours before as there was no fatigue at all. Onward and upward definitely as this was my biggest hurdle. Roll on WK 6 😁 Good luck and thanks again 👟👟
I'm finding time of day has played a big part in how well i do. For me evenings 2 hours after dinner work best. Morning runs don't seem to suit me at all.
Yes it's similar for me; each week's runs 1 & 2 are guided at a running club at 6pm but find my mid-day solo run 3 is best just after lunchtime. Can't imagine me running in a morning, school run is enough haha
Aww Thanks 😀 It does seem daunting but I started believing in myself week 4. Week 1 I really struggled doing 60 second jogs! I've just turned 50, carrying about 6 stones extra in ballast and never run before. Believe me if I can do week 5 anybody can. I have I kept it slow and steady and I mean really slow haha Good luck I'm sure you don't need it 😀
