Week 5 Complete!

I’m not going to lie I was really worried about the 20 minute run, but I did it! Paced myself really well. Probably could have gone faster but didn’t want to fail and then get discouraged. I was full of positivity and conquered it. Bring on Week 6 and getting a bit more distance!

Well done!! Don't worry about your speed just yet. I run like a snail but each week feeling stronger and like I can mange more. You sound like you're doing great!

Great job... clever running. The urge to speed up is hard to resist, but can be hard to recover from too. Sounds like you finished with some left in the tank, and that’s a sign of the fitness rising... no need to worry about a run now. Slow and steady into week 6 and you got this.

Run 2 this week I definitely went too fast. I reminded myself that it was about the long game this time and that no one else could see how slow I was going!

I have a 10 minute difference over 5k between happy pace and PB. Embrace the slow running as it enables the fast stuff, every now and then. Even Mr Kipchoge takes some runs at half of his race pace (I wouldn’t keep up with him on those runs either as it happens 🤣)

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran 🏃🏾 😊 your pace was slow and steady, well done. 😊 🏃🏾

Well done! I’ve just done the same, feeling so elated. Have never run before, ever and I’m 42. Doing it on my treadmill and watching trashy tv to distract me!! What a great programme

Wish I had a treadmill!

I completed my 20 minute run yesterday and like you was really anxious about it. I was so pleased with myself and now looking forward to next week. It’s a great feeling, achieving something I never thought was possible for me. 😃

I just did this too! It’s a great confidence boost isn’t it? I really feel like I can get through the programme now, after giving up a couple of times before.
