Back after 2 weeks. Fail but New shoes. πŸ‘ŸπŸ˜Ž

Hi all.

So back at it after a 2 week break. Mainly cause my foot hurt and wanted to get the gait analysis done. Which finally did today.

Would have been last Sunday but my car broke down on the way to Norwich.

So thought I would try and continue where I left off W7R2. Only managed 20 of the 25min run though. I tried to push on but there was just nothing there. Maybe I didn't prep myself enough today. But I will have another go Sunday starting at W7R1. Will get back to it. πŸ’ͺ🏻πŸ’ͺ🏻πŸ’ͺ🏻

Have a good weekend. πŸ‘πŸ»

Great choice of shoe πŸ‘ I've got the same, very comfortable I've been running in them for a couple of months now with no issues..Hope they solve your foot problems πŸ™

After a two week break I think you've done really well to run 20 mins, I'm sure youl be back on track after a couple of runs πŸ‘

Good luck

Yeah their really comfy. Lots better than my Nike. Hope to be putting some miles in them. πŸ™‚ I'm still doing stretches on my foot and calf. Plus a nice frozen tennis ball to roll it on. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Hopefully it will be OK.

My son runs in those or very similar and loves them. It sounds as if many people on here have injuries due to the wrong running shoes. You did great after your break and adapting to new shoes. Enjoy your run tomorrow.

Cheers. Yeah there very cushioned. Really do notice a difference. Think it does pay to get the gait test done to select the correct trainers. Either way, nice fresh none smelly ones are always best πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

You lose no significant condition in the first two weeks of non running, so it is possibly down to inadequate preparedness, as you say.

Everything going on in our lives can impact on our performance as a runner. Restedness, hydration and nutrition are at the top of my list of variables that need to be optimised to enable enjoyable running.

This post expands on the theme. healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Ditch the "fail" mentality. Take the positives. Every run is training for the next one.

Been a very stressful week, lots gone wrong. Still was determined to get out and try. I don't really see it as a failure as such. I'm not kicking myself cause I didn't do the 25min. Still happy to do 20min. Ire do it next time. πŸ˜€
