Managed it couldn't do the 4 breaths in tho, could only do 2 in and out, just about to catch my breath on run 5 when laura said brisk walk for 2mins, keep going girl you can do it. Forgot had done an 8 mile walk with my grandson yesterday . Cook down done now into the gym for my usual workout, looking forward to doing it again on Wednesday, thank you laura for the encouragement

I'd say don't worry about the pattern of breathing, it sorts itself out if you go the right speed. If you're not managing to catch your breath in the walking breaks though, you're going too fast. I think we all tried to 'run' in the early weeks, but it's only sustainable for very short bursts. To do longer distances, you'll have to find a jogging speed where you could still maintain a conversation. If it feels like you're not putting in enough effort, then great - you should feel at the end of each running section like you could do some more.

Well done to you. I am only on week five but every run I do I have a conversation with myself to make sure I can run and talk comfortably . Walking.... I also like long distance walking and I am trying to decide should I go for a long walk today as I have my first 20 minute run on Thursday and need my best legs possible.Enjoy your gym session.

Well done.

In respect of breathing, just relax and do what comes naturally and if you are getting breathless, just slow down.

Great job. I still cannot consciously breathe to that pattern. I distracted myself from thinking about breathing with a good podcast and just let it happen, so I have no idea how I breathe while running. This doesn’t bother me as I also don’t know anything about my breathing patterns whilst sleeping, watching TV, driving etc. Have a great run on Wednesday
