My dreaded 9week stretch to Christmas half term started today.

School, staff meeting and home by 6:30pm.

AND THEN I DID IT!!! 🎉😱🎊

I got changed straight away and went for a run.

Those 30 extra seconds took their toll on me at the half time bell... but now I feel so much better for it!

Next run Wednesday! Willpower 💪🏻

Hold onto that feeling- it gets even better as you progress. Graduation in time for Christmas morning run?

😱 I didn’t think of that!

That’s such a good motivation isn’t it...!!

And if it snows too - the cherry on the top 🤩🤞🏻

Hubby and son in law ran last Christmas and on the morning of wedding I’m looking forward to joining them for 10k this year, we’ll maybe they will do 10k and I’ll hopefully run an hour. Happy running

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Well done. “No sitting down until everything’s Done” used to be my motto when I was home after teaching! Wish I’d been running then, but I don’t know when I’d have fitted it in, so I’m full of admiration. 👍😊

Yes! I’ve realised that’s the way forward now 😅🤣

Awh thanks!! I struggled with it the last time I started - but I think the big difference this time is that I MAKE time for running!

I hope your running journey is going well ☺️

Creeping forward, thanks. I totally agree about the “make time” rule!👏🏼👏🏼 It’s the only one that works & the rewards are huge.

Full of admiration for those who fit in their running around work! Enjoy half term! Keep running it will give you the stamina to get through the 9 week & provide a welcome bit of “you” time!!

Well done. I've chosen to run on a morning (apart from wk1 r1 when I set my alarm wrong).

I just think to get through a work day, and then still have the drive to go out and run (no pun intended), is amazing.

Good for you, and yes, let's aim for graduation as as a Christmas present!

Looking forward to seeing more posts from you.

Well done for getting to where you are already and (from me) well done for running after work. I always get out of bed an hour earlier and go out for my runs first thing in the morning as not only would it be more invasive trying to fit it in between getting home & having family dinner, I'm sure I'dhave a bunch of excuses why 'today' wasn't suitable! Keep it up...
