Hi everyone, I found out 1 was type 1 diabetic last year and also had a full knee replacement so figured was a good time to get fit and try and lose some weight. I’m now on week 7 run 1 and can’t believe I was able to run for 25 mins. My knee is starting to hurt which might be down to my technique. Any tips?

Hello! Are you wearing proper running shoes and have you had a gait analysis ?

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.
Do all you can to minimise impact. Slow down, avoid heelstriking, keep footfall under your body, not out in front, run on softer surfaces such as grass or treadmill and wear proper running shoes, fitted after a gait analysis done at a specialist running shop.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Enjoy your journey.
