When I left this morning the sun was shining and my lungs were saying I am ready to run. Once I reached my halfway point on the bridge the rain started to lash down. I had a decision to make stop and walk back and try Tuesday as no hurry to continue.
As soon as I starting running down the slope my legs seem to have made the decision for me and shortly I would be running back up that slope so I could always stop then but by then it was 5 minutes to go and I was running back over the bridge getting beaten by the rain again like a character in a nineteenth century novel, think Hardy, in my see through shirt π. As you might have guessed I continued on.
Thank you
I would like to thank everyone for their support as without it I would not have got this far. I know people say this but I really wouldn't. This is not my first time here but it is my first after a serious heart operation from which I am still recovering following an extremely fortuitous diagnosis which I doubt would have happened were it not for these unprecedented times.
Therefore as the great philosopher Dee Dee Ramone once said "I Believe in Miracles"

Thank you. I am useless with technology and this is the closest I have got to social media. I wasn't sure about right hand side and my connection is too slow to search but I found a thread by MummyCav and added a note there so hopefully that works just as well Thank you
Thank you and yes courtesy of MummyCav who I messaged earlier. I think I was meant to look on the right side of the screen but did not understand the simple instructions and found the MummyCav thread and added a note there instead π.
Thank you and I must admit it does feel a little special after the recent trials and tribulations with my health. I definitely would not recommend surgery though. I never thought I would get to this point. After hospital I needed physio to walk properly again as my left leg seized up. Running seemed a very long way off at that point. Thank you
That brought a tear to my eye reading that, what a struggle and what a fabulous achievement itβs never too late to get fit! Now you are a runner and itβs a fabulous thing to do congratulations ππ miracle runner !
That is very nice of you to say. Indeed it is never too late and I would also add if your body feels even the slightest bit different don't be too embarrassed to get it checked out. I was but after nagging from a family member I did go to the doc and luckily they were just able to treat me. I was very lucky as admitted a week before my expiry date. Well maybe a trainee runner π. I agree it is a fabulous thing to do Thank you π
