Week 8 Run 2

Friday 25th June 2021

I felt better about run 2 but feel worse for it. I haven't worked it out either

I retraced the route where I struggled on Wednesday and I can see why now as it has a few slopes and mild undulations and I am going to add another steep slope for week 9 so I am increasing the difficulty of my runs as well as the duration.

No cramp today but I am extremely tired which I don't think is wholly due to running, though I good be mistaken as I am not a doctor apparently.

Well done, you did it and its still in the bag even if you feel worse for it! Its all building your stamina those hills. Great the cramp didnt come back 👍

Indeed I did. I think I am either still Ill or I have something else wrong with me as not natural to feel this lethargic. Yes to mild undulations with 1 steep concrete slope, so far, but next week I am going to add another steep concrete slope. Well it will be week 9. Yes it is as that was not nice. The only symptom plaguing me currently is extreme tiredness.

It sounds like maybe you do have something else going on. They do say to listen to your body, maybe you need a longer recovery period between runs? Go easy and good luck with the next run if you're recovered!

I have been listening but trying to get others ' to listen has not been easy but I did have tests last week so I will know soon though could just be old age 😁. I seem to be spending a lot of time in bed recharging. I have been out this morning to bid goodbye to week 8. I will try and get out Tuesday but will see how I feel.

I found the week 7 and 8 runs the hardest of the lot if memory serves. Same as you, was tired and lethargic - I think for me it was because it was the last push before graduation week. You’ll get there amisfit, you’re doing so well! 😊🏃‍♀️😊🏃‍♀️😊🏃‍♀️😊

I think different runs have been difficult at different times. I started week 1 a long time after an operation and still remember how scared I might be of falling as my co-ordination was not great. I would say as I am no longer thinking when is the end week 8 has been my best week so far. I would like to think it was pre-graduation blues but I think I am exhausted as I am running with an illness, but can't confirm that yet, but noticed someone running week 9 recently pregnant so no excuse for me after I saw that post. Talk about a motivator Thank you
