Anyone else had to repeat a week and felt unable to do the full run... I was doing so well up to now πŸ˜“πŸ˜“πŸ˜“ I also normally run at 8am and today it was 2pm, sun was hot and lots of people out πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

It's not a fail , it's a practice run 😁But you don't need to repeat the whole week !

Just a couple of days rest and re run run 3 πŸ‘

You can do it Shoppingrun, you have already ran 25 minutes three times, never use the word fail on this forum, put that down to a practice run, take an extra day off running, then run, run 3 of week 7 a little slower than you did today, good luck.

Thank you AlMorr i will do the run again Monday you are right πŸ‘πŸ»

You can do it! Have a rest tomorrow (and no alcohol ;) ) and you'll do it on Monday. Nobody fails, we practice. "The only time we fail is when we stop trying".

You’ll smash it next time, that’s the way it goes, a tough run is normally followed by a really good one. Stay focused and positive, you’ll get there πŸ‘πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

Everything going on in our lives can impact on our performance as a runner. Restedness, hydration and nutrition are at the top of my list of variables that need to be optimised to enable enjoyable running.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

Did you use the F word in the title on purpose? Honestly you have to look at every run as a practice run. Some are better than others. You could analyse them to see where you could improve, sometimes that is useful, but sometimes that can drive you mad! Having a mediocre run It is part of the learning curve. I know - I am "learning" very regularly!

Tried again guys and couldn’t do past 15 minutes I’m going to eat mega healthy, drink loads of water and get in the right frame of mind and try again Wednesday!!! I can do this.... thanks for all of the advice I’ve changed out the F words 🀣🀣🀣

We all hit these types of walls, as everyone has said these are all practise runs, I would look at slowing down you pace. It may feel like you are standing still but build in to it.

This run is 90% mental due to the fact that you've already moved this length of time already.

We all know you can do it, believe in yourself and you've got it.

Not what you're looking for?
