Ok I’m proper proud of myself! Lol

I have rheumatoid arthritis and it’s well controlled with various injections and drugs. And I have completed week 4 run 1 today! Can’t believe it, never in a million years did I think I’d get this far on the app!

Proper chuffed I am!

Didn’t feel as if my lungs were gonna fall out either lol.

Happy running all, hope you’re all doing well xx

Week 4 is hard. You seem to be running at the right pace, if you are doing OK at the end . Well done.

Thank you so much! Just taking it slow, making a point of controlling my breathing and it seems to work so far lol.

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

Thank you that’s really kind, I can’t quite believe I did it lol

Fellow rheumatoid arthritis person here, going for my monthly IV later today. Feeling very lucky that my RA is (at the moment) fully under control with the IV's (and weekly pills). It is important to keep moving, so taking up running is a very good decision you made! Keep going!

Well done, I did the same run yesterday. It was tough but I made myself pace as I've noticed I tend to speed up a little, particularly in runs 2 and 3. My wife has RA and settling down after a C-section in December. I hope your joints behave, and stay healthy. Enjoy!
