Week 6 R3 ✅🏃‍♀️.....& I am now an official ‘runner’.....apparently!

I know it’s been said a thousand times before on this forum.....but if anyone had told me six weeks ago that I could jog non stop for 25 minutes, I would have laughed my socks off! I set off on my last run of week 6 just after 2.00pm, it was dry and compared to last week, warm and fairly sunny. By the time I completed the 5 minute warm up walk, the heaven doors opened.....typical! Anyway, I decided to plod on.....and I’m so glad I did. I found the first 10 minutes quite challenging, but after finding the right rhythm and momentum, I felt pretty good and before I knew it, Jo was telling me that the 25 minutes was up......despite being soaking wet right through even to my Bridget Jones knicks, I felt absolutely fantastic!

It’s true what everyone says....trust the programme, follow the advice around hydration (including on your rest days) and stretches, completing C25K is achievable. Instead of dreading Week 7, I am now looking forward to going out again.....but hoping to return home not looking like a drowned rat!

I hope everyone is having a great week.

Mmmmmmm............just pondering whether I have to issue an addict alert.........Well done.

The first few minutes of any run is tough for any runner and is known as the Toxic Ten healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and explains why there is no point pushing hard until fully warmed up.

Very true👍🏼.....as a complete novice to jogging, I’m learning more and more each week!

A soaking wet run. Ah the vagaries of the British weather. Now if someone had said you would be running 25 minutes in the pouring rain.... they would definitely be mad!

😅😂Absolutely!!

Isn't it amazing how good it makes you feel when you get to the end of your run? Whether it's 60 seconds or 25 minutes, it's exhilarating ! Enjoy week 7. x
