That was a cold run it took until around 3km to get warm. Well first 5km for February completed in 28 mins 11 seconds so was pretty happy with that fastest time this year was thinking it was a good time until I checked and found I had over 32 other 5k’s faster. With most of them under 28 mins so will have to keep chasing the elusive 28 mins to get below it. On the way now for 2021. Hope everyone is ok and still running when they can.

That's a great way to kick off February Papillon17 I'm sure you'll be getting that sub 28min soon 👍👍
Was it seems getting them quite regularly before Christmas guess it happens to us all pounds and age catching me up.
So many things can affect our pace on each run Papillon17 everything, from weather, our hydration what we've eaten. Whilst it's cooler outside I definitely I've found that spending longer warming up, dynamic stretching and a little jogging on the spot all eases that transition from a warm house to that cold outdoors 👍
I had been ready for the run having just walked dogs for 40 mins that Strava did not register again but Fitbit did time and steps. I was home dropped dogs off changed and back out for a further five minute warm up. Although I guess since I have worked from home for last 11 months I don’t drink enough water where has when in the office we had a water cooler. Tap water is just not the same it’s far more tea at home. Although I am now working to get more fruit back in me this I also don’t eat a lot of but in the office would have five bits a day.
It sounds like you're getting back on track there, that water though it's definitely easier I guess if the tap waters decent, I find small glasses throughout the day keeps me on track, fruit I'm very seasonal though, winter I can manage Bananas and citrus, blueberries as well🙂
