So here is proof of my first official 5k after graduation. Thank you everyone who encouraged me when I started back in August. That's me and my moomins (kids). My step son did it with me and as I told him to go and get the best time he could and blow it away, not got the official times yet but hubs reckons Lucas was well under 30 mins. Me I think about 35-37 mins but I don't care. I did it ....... bring on the next one next Saturday 🏅🤗
My first official 5k: So here is proof of my... - Couch to 5K
My first official 5k
Many congratulations. Fabulous achievement. I too started in August but yet to run official 5k so find this inspiring. Great pic X
Well done Jo! You look really happy. Intrigued as to why the robots thought you were talking about cocaine!
Congratulations on your 5k ! It's great that your stepson ran as well. Nice photo as well. Everyone looks 😊
Lovely photo and congratulations on that first 5k event - I am sure there will be many more!🙂 Well done too to Lucas - the youngesters always leave us trailing don't they!😀
What do you mean, you don't care? I think that sounds a very good time I suppose it's just possible I'm biased as I took a few minutes longer for my first 5k last week I was well pleased with myself. A few months ago I couldn't have imagined myself doing that.
Just got our results I completed it in exactly 35 mins 💪 Really chuffed. Lucas did it in 27.38 soooo proud of him only 14 bless him and he just flew. Think hubs is eyeing up my medal, said he might give it a go next year. Love the fact that hubs didn't take a picture of me when I'd finished lol
Brilliant photo. Well done to you and Lucas. 35 to 37 minutes is a great time. I'm still doing about 33 minutes for 5K. I started C25K in April.
Having set a good example I bet your 2 little moomins will be wanting to run with you soon !
We're all doing the reindeer stampede at beginning of December, the girls will get chance to run that, they were a little young to do the kiddies run here. But the stampede is an upper age of 8 and parents are encouraged to do it with them before the 5k event. The girls are really looking forward to the medal, reindeer antlers and mince pie they get for running. I'm so pleased they've seen me do something like this, means a lot that they see a positive role model not just a mummy
Wish I could do it I'd do anything for a mince pie ! love mine pies ! Just need to deduct 52 years and dig out old school uniform !!
WELL DONE!
