Ran my first 5K!

On week 8, still had fuel in tank and wind in my hair when Laura was saying well done for running 28 mins. Kept going and did my first 5K in 35 mins. Then also did a victory dance in the park, in the rain. πŸ’ƒπŸ»πŸ˜ I’m soooo loving it. Best decision ever! πŸ€—

Brilliant that's wonderful. Well done that's a great time for a first one. Love the dancing in the rain lets hope you can dance in the sun soon as well. Enjoy.

Thank you, quite happy with the time! I love running in light rain but I know what you mean, would be nice to see some sun β˜€οΈ

Superb. πŸŽ‰πŸ‘πŸΌπŸŽ‰ Big milestone now passed. Victory dance sounds a good way to stretch! 😊

Do be cautious now. We all love to feel we can go on and on once that initial battle is over, but muscles doing a new job are sensitive and easily injured. Do stick to the plan.... (I know I sound like a grandma - there’s a reason for that!πŸ˜„)

Hehe just glad I was alone for the dance, probably because it was raining! πŸ˜‚

Thank you for the advice, will keep in mind.. grandmas are the absolute best! πŸ₯°

Well done, but you nearly breached the 10% rule used by experienced runners to avoid increasing duration by too much.

Take care.

Sticking to the plan is the safest way forward.
