Have spent all day creating a blog. I have a book on running doing the rounds of literary agents currently. Not the best time as everyone who ever thought they would write a book seems to have done it during lockdown, with the result that agents and publishers are inundated with submissions. I do stand more chance as I’ve been published before, so fingers crossed. Anyway, if someone does take me on, I will be expected to have a blog, so here it is:

Runners’ High
Hello stranger! You still running in jazzy leggings?
Haha, you'd better believe it! xx
Wow FlickM3 that's so publishable 🥳 good luck and 🤞
Thank you! I’ve been published before, which gives me an edge, but it’s not the best time as they have way more submissions since lockdown x
Ah I guess everything budding author has so to speak blossomed with more free time 😬 guess that does make it tougher Flick they'll have more work firstly, and a lot of potential writers potentially 😐
That’s about the size of it. More to Wade through but more choice too 😂
Back in the day before the world went all digital 👴 I had ( still have 🤫) a passion for poetry. And the ink pen knib could at times flow quite beautifully, I'm a sucker for a nice waterman and nice inks...... I attended a creative writing group and had bits published only in anthologies and the groups self published journals. But maybe one day that inner Larkin will burst free.... I remember an evening with the late Adrian Henri at our group one of the original mersey beat poets, what a guy and so unassuming but, with a beautiful feel for words ......
Ah, and Brian Patten, Scaffold etc
And the ever so talented Mr Mcgough 👍
I saw Scaffold at what was then Oxford Poly in 1974. Brian Patten wandering round stage with a joint stuck in the machine heads of his guitar
I wasn't allowed to go to that event Flick I think it may have been I was only 5 yrs old 😂
Those guys were poets in every sense of the word with an element of rock n roll 🥁
Great blog, really enjoyed reading it. What a lovely place to run
Thank you! Oxford is gorgeous x
