Have yet to experience the "runners high"

Done the first run of week seven this morning-25 minutes.

At the moment I don't look forward to running. When I'm running , I can't wait to finish.

Yes, I feel good afterwards, but I wonder if I'll ever fall in love with running. I certainly have never experienced that "runners high" while out and about!

Not sure that the runners high is the same for everyone. For me it is the satisfaction of finishing. If you feel good afterwards, then take that.

Yep, the afterglow may prove to be my high

I wonder if this is linked to how fit you are to start with. I’ve got a high off each run since the very first of week 1. And I am totally unfit.

At the end of the run I am positively buzzing and for the next couple of hours I feel a warm glow of massive confidence/satisfaction. I am addicted to it now.

Hopefully you will reach a point where something similar happens for you.

I don't think there is any one form of exercise that *everyone* enjoys. It's really important for us all to find ways to move our body that we do enjoy, that we look forward to, that we miss when we aren't able to do them. If you complete c25k or beyond and find running just isn't enjoyable, that's ok - there will be something you enjoy out there!

Thanks. I think that as and when I complete c25k, I will keep on running. It will then be more"voluntary" than the prescribed three runs a week under the (excellent) plan. That may change my attitude. If not, I will still run perhaps once a week and adhere to my great love -5 a side football!

You have done only a few hours of running and you are probably still pushing your body. Relax and it will happen in time.
