30 minutes of fun

We haven’t run so muck lately, we were pushing too hard i think as running further wore us out and we seemed to come home sore

So I had some ideas and then a 💡 moment....we started this for fun so let’s have fun, we can run 30 minutes quite comfortably so let’s do that and not push too hard through the winter,

So here we are, my day off and i had to go into work to test some people, off I trot in my running gear, up the stairs, sanitize hands, change my clothes, sanitize my hands don my mask, and get everything together chase a colleague and all round the houses testing, test one change apron and gloves bwtween each one, sanitize my hands do my own test, change back into my running clothes and go home, wash me flipping hands again and go for a run

Ah lol this is a running site, we walked then we ran for 30 minutes, the clouds moved away and sky was blue, run slow and steady, sprint a bit jog a bit and times up go home

Sorry for the work waffle, the moral of this story is that 30 minute running and we’ve got energy enough to enjoy the rest of my day off

Run strong and stay safe

Sounds like a lovely run...

Too often we can get bogged down with times, stats and splits etc...and just clean forget about the joy of being outside, having a gentle jog and enjoying our surroundings.

The work stuff was fine! As you said... a practical demonstration of how a 30 minute run can fit into even a work day 😊

Here’s to fun runs! 🙌🏼🐌🐢🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️👍🍁🧡🍂

Your work is so important that it is really nice that you can go for a 30 minutes run after work or on your day off, running does help you with any stress.

Makes a huge difference, and for poor Willow who puts up with me lol

I totally agree with your decision and your reasoning. I hurt my back last week after achieving my 10k (not through running) so haven't run for over a week now. Been to the physio and on Thursday I'm going to do what you've done. Go and enjoy 30 minutes of running. Well done you! Sometimes we don't see the wood for the trees 🤭

Thank you, oh your poor back, we really enjoyed our run this morning and I’ve been so energetic all day

I’ve started the 16/8 diet because i can’t follow things like low fat or low calories but limiting the time i eat works well, Id live to lose my smoking weight and increase my running speed by christmas Willow has just cut back a bit here and there and steadily losing my smoking weight, he didn’t give up smoking but in the beginning we both steadily gained weight

Enjoy your 30 minutes, when you limit the time it feels more enjoyable

Fantastic!

It's nice to just run for the joy of going for a run - no pressure, no worrying about distance, or pace.

It makes it much more like something to do because you can, you want to, and you enjoy it rather than something you have to do because the Plan says so.

Brilliant running!

We’ve had a lovely day thanks, went off to sainsburys this afternoon and realised on the way there’s nothing we actually need so got petrol washed the car and came home again

A dress was delivered which fits which is a bonus and then had our favourite foods for dinner, very unhealthy egg and bacon sandwich for Willow and cheese on toast for me, very yummy and a rare treat but it’s my day off, back to veg tomorrow lol

Sounds like a great day (run included) and you can't beat a new dress that fits and feels fab 💃 and a tasty treat for tea which you sound like you richly deserve 🤗

I totally agree with this post, I was going to do a 30 min run this morning but ended up doing a slog of a 10k for some reason and felt knackered for the rest of the day, so the moral of the story....enjoy running, listen to your body and be kind to yourself 👍

I might feel a little jealous though because I so want to just carry on running for 10k but 8k left my calves sore and Willow’s knee aching for days so we didn’t run for a week, then saturday we heard a colleague has covid and felt a bit panicked so went and ran for half hour before i went to work and felt calmer after

The winter plan is half hour either running or walking most days

The bonus neither of us came home limping 😀

I love to see others progress

I’m sticking to 30 minutes at the moment as it feels achievable and I haven’t got the brain energy to push myself with everything else going on in life. Great you have your 💡 moment 😁
