I set off full of energy and ready to enjoy this milestone run. The first 15 minutes, on road and pavement, was great but then I dipped into the park so I could let Juno (dog) run free. Running on grass was nice but took more effort, the sprung track was great underfoot but boring, and the gravel paths were a particularly evil form of torture. The second half was much slower than the first but I must have gone out too fast as my friend Strava told me my average pace was my fastest. But Strava quickly ceased to be my friend when it claimed I was almost a minute short of 30. So, I ran home up the horrible hill much to the dogโs disgust. My pale blue top was dark blue to my waist and my sports bra was wetter than when I take it out of the washing machine. An hour, a cool shower, and breakfast later, and Iโm still bright red.
Long story but the important bit is I ran for 30 blooming minutes. I love C25K and I love this community which could teach the world about positivity, kindness and support. ๐โค๏ธ
