I can't even begin to tell you how scared I was to start the C25k again. It's been 5 years since I've run after really injuring myself. I never thought I'd do it again and I wouldn't have, had I not found this forum! You have all inspired me sooo much! Thank you! I had to buy running clothes I could actually fit into yesterday, and this morning, I put them on and went for it. My body felt so sluggish, heavy, and not at all the body I had just 5 years ago! It's crazy how quickly we can decline when we don't take care of ourselves. By the end of it, my knees were confused, my feet were in shock, and my lower back didn't know whether to support me or just let me drop for good. I stretched (and wow, that wasn't easy either), drank water. And well...now I'm nor sure I will be walking all that much today, but I did it! And I felt so proud of myself! Can't wait for day 2!

You have done the scariest part and that's making a start and getting out of the door .
Remember to keep it slow, keep hydrated and stretch after your runs .

Welcome to the forum and well done on your decision.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Enjoy your journey.
Well done Tanya....yep you've got the scariest part out of the wayππππππ. I hadn't run for over 20 years and yes it was pretty miserable to see how my inactive years had taken a toll on the ol limbs!!! But...W8R3 for me tomorrow π....I'm focusing on the present now....
Good on yer for getting back out there, that's a victory. Win, win from here onwards. πππ
Thank you! Yes, my legs were NOT HAPPY yesterday or even today, but like you, I'm going to focus on the present and look forward to the future. π Thank you for the encouragement.
