Morning all :-D Very happy Potty reporting in :-) after talking to colleagues at work about just how hard it is to start running again after you've stopped I was tempted to just see how much of the 5K I could do but was worried about injuring myself by doing so much more than my 28 minutes - but, I read something Rignold said that the 10% extra run was based on your total time/distance for the week - so, a swift burst of mental arithmetic led me to think it wouldn't be that much of a stretch to try. The first 5 mins or so were, as usual, horrible with my inner spud asking why I was even attempting 28 minutes let alone considering trying to run the full 5K - I gradually settled into my run, forcing my concentration onto how good it felt to be moving each time it started to consider how far I still I had to go to reach my 28 mins let alone finish the course - then, magically Laura said it was time to stop and I REALLY didn't need to! I thought I'll just see if I can get up this hill the second time, round this corner again etc., well - I ran all the way! Legs a bit jelly-like towards the end but even managed some stronger faster strides as I approached the finish line!!! Week 9 - here I come!!!! Honestly can't believe this!! Happy running everybody! :-)
