i know i have only been here for two weeks and am finding it a real struggle, but my recovery rate has really speeded up already and ...my body shape is changing! ? ! i have lost four pounds due to cutting down i would think (i wonder if any one loses weight on here without dieting as well) and my boyfriend keeps telling me to look in the mirror. my waist. under my chin. and my face in general.... they are...how to say it...trimmer. more tight. and i attribute this to the running as well as the eating regime. losing four pounds with diet alone wouldn't usually cause a fairly exciting appearance change... (oh and an inch and a half gone from my waist too. fact. )one often doesn't usually notice a 4 pounds weight loss physically on just diet alone. i know from past experiences. so i think this is another thumbs up for this programme. don't you? changing shape with weight loss due to C25K and cutting down? (and i have still cut 5 minutes off my 30 minute walk every day...without intending to)

Hi - I tend to think it is a bit like having a facelift from the ankles upwards. It takes a lot of exercise to burn calories, so you don’t really lose weight, but legs, glutes, etc get more exercise so get firmer and stronger. I suppose I now eat less trash as it makes me feel sluggish when I run, so that is what caused a bit of weight loss. Giving up alcohol is the big one, of course, but that doesn’t suit everyone!

Hi, I’m hoping to lose a few pounds but more importantly tone up and feel fitter. Just about to start week 8 and not lost anything yet however can definitely see difference in my legs. I’ve not really cut down on food and still like a weekend drink. 🤪

re wine: so put me down for a bottle a day (joke)... its very dehydrating though isn't it so its bad for runners especially...

i think the reason this is a really positive post is cos it's saying though you wont lose weight on the C25K alone (probably) if you do the programme along with the diet regime of your choice you definitely will lose weight. i am sure this programme speeds up the metabolism... i know i have lost two pounds a week on it so far and that's GOOD! diet and exercise not just diet IMO is the way to go x PLUS your shape really improves... inches are lost... and of course your fitness changes altogether... 'from zero to hero in no time flat' :-) (disney's hercules, brilliant film)

The first couple of weeks I found it hard. Even running a minute I was pleading for it to finish. But it got so much easier as the weeks went on and I never thought I’d look forward to going out but I do (bit of a battle tho as I’m an evening runner and I have to drag myself off the coach) However on my last run on Friday w7r3 I was supposed to run 25 mins but ended up running 31 coz was enjoying it in that mad sort of way. Nowhere near 5k but I’ll complete the next two weeks, graduate then work on my times. Keep going you will be fine! Trust me! X
