W3R1 for me tonight.

Part of me is dreading the run for 3 minutes and part of me is looking forward to the challenge, determined to do it though. Finally finished W2R3 on Friday as I walked 10km with the dogs the weekend before and it knackered my legs so delayed finishing W2.

Let the second part of you be first (!!!) 😉 👍

I’ll definitely try! 😊

It’s ok. It’s not as bad as one might think. Just remember that there’s no reason to rush. Keep a good steady pace and go slow.

This is what I did after going at it like I was a seasoned runner and it’s worked.

Just completed W5R1 this morning and did three 5 minute runs.

I’m sure that you will be able to do it. I took a 2 week break after week 3 as I had hurt my knee. Started all over again from week 1.

Keep going. Keep safe. 🙂

Oh I remember that nervous excitement before a run! All I can say is that the nervousness and dread goes away but the excitement remains before and after a run. I ran my first 6k this morning, still so excited about it! You can do this, just take it easy and enjoy. Go you! 🏃‍♀️💥

Anticipating a challenge is just fine but letting it overflow, even if only in part, into dread, really is counterproductive.

Relax and relish the challenge.......... don't fear it.

You'll be fine! Try not to overthink it - one foot in front of the other! I found thinking about the whole programme as an adventure helped a lot and got rid of any negative thoughts. Even now, nearly a year on, I just go and run and don't think ahead too much

Couldn’t agree more with the approach you recommend. A sense of adventure and experimentation really speaks to me, and helps counterweight any tendencies to worry.

Not what you're looking for?
