Wow! Was starting to get the, what I expect is pretty normal, fear, of the new week and it's runs. So W3 I knew upped the ante but decided to go for it yesterday morning (at about 6:30ish, because I got woken up early!) anyway.
Have slowed right down and on the rare occasion I've used the kids running watch my mile times have gone up by about 4 mins - not deterred, I reckon the best thing would be to actually cope with the full length of the runs and worry about the speed later!
Also first run with a bit of damp in the air! And since I'm running on a hard-packed trail which has a lot of tall grass in places I was drenched up to the knees!
BUT I coped fine. Actually pondered a little cheeky extra run at the end, but Sarah told me not to push it so I'm not.
Now a day later and I want to get out there again already, hopefully tomorrow, work at the moment is going to stop every other day, but I'm just aiming for three runs a week.
Amazing how much of an up and down this thing is - last week I'd struggled at a couple of points and was really worried. Now I'm trying not to get too carried away and thinking I've cracked it!
Body is coping well, bought some compression socks and I think they're really helping - but of a lucky buy really but well worth it!
Sorry for the epic length, am happy! Hope everyone else is doing well in this heat!

Never fear the step up. The only run the designers of this plan didn’t know you could complete was w1r1. After that, trust it and go. We all have days where it’s not as good, but from my experience it has little to do with time or distance run.
Thank you the logic seems sound!!! I think that I find it "harder" later in the day - I guess there's more energy in the knackered old body first thing in the day!
You sound sooo happy, like the running bug has well and truly bitten! Well done on your achievements so far! 😀 And well done for fighting through the gremlins! 💪🏻
Wow, I wish there was some damp in the area around here (SW). Since starting this programme I have literally only done a tiny part of a single run with a few teasing rain drops which soon stopped! I’m going into W9 tomorrow, and what I would do for it to be damp!
I’m starting to find this running lark all-consuming, and there was me 8 weeks ago hating the thought of it! Sounds like you’re similar! Have fun, trust in the programme and you’ll sail through with your positive attitude! 🏃♀️🏃♀️
Wow well done (and thank you!) yep, I do think I'm becoming a bit of a running addict, and it's still very early days - just hope I can keep it up - fingers crossed
