Running and falling

Hi all

I have moved from 71 and never run to running snd still 71.

Today I easily completed my second run in week 9 so nearly there. So pleased with the programme. But as they say ‘Pride comes before a fall’.

Last minute of warm down I fell into a large and very wet pot hole In Sight of home.

Grazed and a bit battered but after a good soak and some pain killers I will survive.

Not to self. Look where you are going!!

I hope I can run again in a couple of day.

Well done for getting out there and I hope you’re not hurt too badly? Rest up, take it easy and come back strong for the next run 🏃‍♀️ 😃

Sorry about your fall, rest and hopefully you will be running again soon, your next run is your graduation run but because you will have short break I would run a few short runs before the big one of 30 minute's.

Ouch! Potholes, slippery mud and tree roots are out there to get us.

Sorry you had an unpleasant experience. These things happen. I’ve had a couple of arguments with tree roots and hated the embarrassment of doing my warm down walk home past neighbours houses in a bloodied state!

Take a few days off if necessary and take it easy on your graduation run. It’s important to enjoy it and it’s a fabulous feeling when you’ve completed it!🏃‍♂️🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️

So sorry to hear about your tumble 😬 hope you’re not feeling too sore or stiff. Make sure you feel tip top for your graduation run, it’s a very special achievement and you want to be able to enjoy it 😊 Good luck with it 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️
