I completed couch to 5k last year and did regular park runs. I found a love for running I never thought I'd have. The last few months I've suffered with sciatica and am scared to run incase or aggravates it. Has anyone ran with sciatica and let me know how you've got on? When I run briefly (across the road etc) the pain eases weirdly so I'm so tempted to park run. Any advise or experience would be very much appreciated. Thank you

I have no idea but i had a baby 4 & a half years ago aged 40...my 4th after a 12 year gap & that messed my back up in general then last year i was in a car accident which also affected my back.it always used to take the text book 6 weeks to ease up but since i started running it seems to ease up & disappear very quickly

Always seek medical advice, but in my experience running improved it no end whereas sutting resting made it worse. I'd get out of the car a cripple after driving home but 5 mins into a run I was comfortable again. A few weeks later I have no more pain.
