The continuing journey of Starting Again

Hi guys...sorry for the lack of updates on my last post which you can hopefully read below, providing the link works.

healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

So, after the cancer diagnosis, surgery and 6 months of chemo which finished in August, I was tired of how large and lazy I had become, so to cut a long story short I started C25K over again and this morning I completed 5K, which felt really good.

So, the plan is to keep on running for as long as I can and if all goes well 10K's will be back on the menu, though not for a few months yet.

As for the cancer side of things, I have about 2 weeks to wait for a CT scan and then a further 2 weeks to wait for a prognosis, so fingers crossed.

And as I said in my last post, to those of you just starting on your C25K journey, always remember you can do it.

Happy running everyone

Andy...

It must have been so hard to receive that diagnosis out of the blue, but great that you have been able to start the C25k plan again. There must have been ups and downs I’m sure, but well done for being motivated to exercise again. I hope you have a positive diagnosis in a couple of weeks. Take care 😀
