Week 8 and it's back to the 80's for me and what a great playlist this morning that got me round with the B52's, Teardrop Explodes, Phil Collins, RunDMC, Yazoo, Bronski Beat and Toni Basil. Out the door for sunrise at 7.28am, when Jo said 'welcome to week 8, you'll be running 28 minutes today' I thought, errr... So I got my gameface on and took in my surroundings on the 5 min brisk walk, what a lovely autumn morning, I CAN DO THIS!
And I did.. whoo hoo. Did I really run 28mins straight?? And enjoy it?? Took a new route, mixed it up a bit, and just went with the flow. Managed to speed up a bit and not look like I was dying on the spot in the last 5mins! I felt I could've gone on (whaat? Who have I become?!) when Jo said I'd done it. Walked home 20mins and was buzzing! Good run done. I gave myself an extra day between runs to rehab a few niggles (knee and ankle) and it seems to have helped me so much.
