Week 1 run 3

Hey everyone

I just managed to complete my third run of first week

A bit late as I supposed to be running on Friday last week but I got cold and decided that I will be better off by doing my run when I’m a bit better

Even tho I’m still not 100% I have decided to run today

I have managed all 8 x 60 sec which is great

Much better then my first run

It took me 20 min to recover after the run once I came back home ( due to my cold ) I will be repeating my first run on Wednesday and hopefully by then I will feel more prepared for the week 2 run

I have never thought I would be capable of running and here I am

I done it

By the way

I got a friend which is saying to me that because I have not run on Friday or during the weekend that I’m slacking off with my running

And I’m thinking that we do what is right for our bodies if I know that I will not managed just because I’m unwell or I had very hard day at work

That doesn’t mean that I’m not committed to running

I got my goal and if takes me a bit longer then that’s fine as long as I will see the finish line

Hope everyone is good and thanks for the support

Keep running 😁

Congratulations, you are not slacking off, you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish to, well done on starting C25K with week 1.

You are not slacking! You are out there having a go and doing your best. From reading lots of posts on here I have come to realise that there is no fixed time limit to complete the program.... just get there in your own time. Xx well done for getting out there even when you arent feeling great. Take care and good luck x

Great great job on this run.

Now, about your friend... 🤣

I don’t run when I know that run will suck... running can be tough enough as it is, especially on this plan. Sometimes the best run is no run... and making that decision based on illness or pain makes you a better runner even without a run! We’re not talking about taking a CBA day here... and your longer recovery time today proves that. The coach I use posted this the other week “drink a glass of water... you just became a better runner”. It’s not all about running, it’s about life too.

Enjoy that next run, you’re doing brilliantly.

I like your friend too... they obviously want you to do this... just in this instance they’re wrong!

Well done, you have to rest with a cold and it’s fine to miss a few days, i have psoriasis and some days feel too tired so an extra rest day or few doesn’t hurt

Get totally well soon and enjoy your running adventure
