Morning all

Just completed week 8 run 1, was feeling it a bit at the end but could have carried on

Looking forward to run 2 on Saturday morning

I find running early in the morning is a massive help as I don’t have time to think of excuses not to run

All the best

Well done! I’m a ‘do it first thing’ runner too!

The longer the day goes on the less likely I am to do things so I run at 6am and I train at a dojo which starts at 7am

Also as I road run I tend to spend less time stopping for traffic at 6am to cross roads

Very impressive! I just run first thing to get rid of the anxiety of whether I’ll complete it or not!!

Getting up in the morning to run is the hard part

Running is the painful part and finishing is the rewarding part

I suffer with bad anxiety as well, has running helped in your case?

Well done and snap! Just done my 8:1 run too ✅

Half of it was into a headwind (I did a rather snazzy bow tie shaped run according to Strava) and there was a hideous hill at the 22 minute mark that nearly finished me off, but after that was on the home straight and probably could’ve done the full 30. Think I need to try and slow it down a bit but my legs only seem to have one gear. Away in Liverpool til Saturday now so next run on Sunday!

My circuit is fairly flat in Hampton

I practice hills in the gym on a treadmill normally at a fast paced walk at a steep incline

As for the weather it’s been kind so far other then one morning when I could have benifited from wearing ice skating boots

Well done for getting through your run today

Hampton!!! That’s where I grew up!!

I tried my W8R2 this morning and had to stop after 20 minutes of running. The wind was so strong on the seafront I could barely walk into it let alone run. Feeling pretty disappointed with myself as it’s the first time I haven’t finished a run. Will try again tomorrow 🙄🙄

Small world

Where abouts in Hampton?

Don’t feel disappointed, jump back on tomorrow or Saturday and give it another go I’m sure you will crack it

Coombe Road, up by Hatherop rec.

Yes, I will try again tomorrow. I was reminded by a friend that 20 mins running was more than a lot of people did this morning and a couple of months ago I couldn’t have done that, which I guess is true.
