I had just got to week 5 when I started to get some knee pain. I’ve been having treatment for an inflamed meniscus since the start of the year. Doing the C25k was as sign the treatment and strength training in my legs was going well!
It’s been about 6 weeks since my last run. I was advised by my physio to give a treadmill a go and up the pace a little.
I started at week 3, nothing to taxing. 5 minute warm up walk then the first run. I didn’t finish the 90 seconds before the pain kicked in. I am gutted! I now have to start all over again.
I don’t mind admitting that I have little enthusiasm right now to get going again.

It happens CWO - it’s a shame but as we all get older, we wear out! Why not go right back to the beginning again - if week one feels easy, go up to week 2 and see if that works. There’s no rush and it’s more important to enjoy what you do without hurting yourself, than it is to push yourself before your knee is ready. Good luck!
