Hard week

Ive just finished week 7 and have found it tough. Mostly because my legs feel tired and heavy. I’ve not stopped, but did think about it a couple of times. In week one I had a problem with a numb feeling in my right foot towards the end of the run. It went away after that, but today I noticed it again in the last Few minutes of the run. Does anyone know what it might be? I’m a bit apprehensive about week 8 😬

If your legs are feeling tired and heavy take note of your hydration, how much fluids are you really getting? Your muscles really need water and oxygen to work well. If you're at less than 2l a day you should really work on that.

As to the foot, there are many possibilities. Have you had your shoes fitted properly? Are they a little small or narrow. Could you have laced them a little too tight and as your foot swells, be limiting circulation? Socks too tight?

If you haven't found your local running shop yet, might be worth a visit and just get an opinion on their fit or advice regarding lacing techniques (and there are many!) 👍🏻🤞🏻

Thanks for the advice. I don’t think about how much water I drink so I’ll definitely drink more. Not sure about trainers, they weren’t fitted, but it’s only one foot and and I’ve not had the problem for last five weeks. Will check out sports shop for possible new trainers though 😄👍
