I did C25K a few years ago and stopped running at about 6 or 7 weeks which I'm totally gutted about, so I'm challenging myself to try again and to finally finish!
I've definitely put on the Lockdown Stone and now I have a new career, so I need to get me some exercise in
Today's first run was pretty nice, but I forget how tedious the 8 little runs are! Still, gives me hope and confidence that I can do it
Hopefully my next post will be more fun and anecdotal! Toodaloo! xo

I too had tried C25K before and I think the mistake that I made that time was to dither and think “ooh, not sure that I can do that run so I’ll repeat the last one”. As a result I got to W5R3 and stopped.
This time I ran every other day without fail and didn’t repeat a single run. The encouragement and guidance on this forum was the key to me being mentally prepared to adopt that approach. It fostered an ‘I can’ attitude in me and was such a huge help.
I also had no real clue about how important hydration is - a lot of the symptoms that make running uncomfortable and too much of a challenge seem to me to be associated with poor hydration so bear that in mind too.
Check in on here even on rest days and you’ll be inspired to finish the program. I graduated 10 days ago after 40 years of being a committed non-runner.
