Wasn’t looking forward to this one, had about an hours sleep so I was feeling tired and groggy but the the sun was shining and this was to be my last run along the beach for a month.
So I dragged myself out of bed put my new running shoes on then headed out the door. Given how I was feeling the run was actually a good one, got to end feeling like I could do a few more running segments 😀
Bring on week 3 👍

Well done you. I've just completed week 5 today, having thought I would never make it past week 1 but this programme is brilliant. I've dropped 5kg since starting just by being a bit healthier and doing these runs 3 times a week. You can definitely do this so keep slogging on
Hi, well done on week 5 😀 that seems so far away at the moment but I’m sure I’ll get there 👍 the program really dose seem to be working for me and the best part is I’m enjoying it 😀
I shall look forward to following your progress. I honestly wouldn't have gotten this far without the support of everyone on here cheering me on and getting me through all my niggles and worries :))
I totally sympathise with that! The brain just doesn't switch off when there is a lot to process. It's one of the reasons I started running. It does help with that headspace thing.
Totally agree, nothing worse than not switching off,, the running has helped, I’m hoping as I start to run further it will help some more 🙂
There was a last minute change to living arrangements so I haven’t got to worry about any hills now, which is a bonus 😂 I’m told I got a lake and river near me so I’ll be checking them out this afternoon once I’m in 😀👍
Still the running spots seem positive, both have got reasonably good ground to run on. Not sure about laps on the lake, it’s good for 80% of it then the path narrows a lot with stingers both sides, I can run it to a point then loop it back on to the river maybe just means negotiating a bit of road.
I will need a head or chest light for winter though, unsure what’s best out of the two.
Hmm 🤔 I've not run with a light before but I do use a headlight when I take the dog out in the winter.....I can get over looking like a miner because the lights good lol!
😂 you carrying a pick axe and Cornish pasty to go with that look 😀 I think the light issue will come down to personal choice, I’m reading posts that compliment both options. It might be that I go for both the miners look along with an iron man chest light 🙂 hopefully I’ll have no excuses for twisting my ankles 👍
Aren't wasps meant to be like drug addicts this time of year but really angry ones? You must have caught him on a bad day lol!
So...full head guard with built in head torch, iron man chest light, ace strapped to your back with a cornish pasty in your hand for good measure.....quite an image 😂😉🤣
Wasps like to eat on fallen, rotting fruit this time of year. The rotting process also includes fermentation, so many autumnal wasps are drunk and have lowered inhibitions. They're sting-happy.
Your right by the way the wasps are all high on sniff at the moment and think “I got a stinger so I got to use it, watch out runners I’m coming for you” 😀
A few post and comments have been added about wasps 👍
