I have arrived - just been home from W9R3 long enough to drink water and make coffee. Yet another new runner who didn't believe it was really possible! When I started I felt like I did when I was 11 (55 years ago) and just starting senior school - I saw the people posting about weeks 7, 8 and 9 as being like the "big girls" in the sixth form - I never really thought I could grow up to be like them! π
So what was my flourish? I hear you ask. Well, instead of my usual flat route, with lots of loops around small fields, I decided I would start on the longer circuit I had planned for post graduation, just to see how far half an hour would take me. That meant going up a hill for the first time, and it was no problemπ
No doubt you are impressed! You will be even more impressed when I tell you that I achieved a massive 38m of elevation in my 30 minute hilly runπππ. When I get a little faster than my current 3.5k in 30 minutes, perhaps I will get all the way up the hill, and that will mean 50m π
Well, it is what we call a hill here in the fens!
A big Thank You to everyone who has been posting during my 9 weeks, you have all helped me to achieve the impossible!
