My physio appointment

So I had my physio appointment at 5:30 today .

He is a multi marathon runner !

I was in with him for around an hour .

He is happy that my injury was not too serious and also that it is almost better,

He dosent think there is any specific muscle problem, or at least not anymore!

He says the timescale from when it happened until now is consistent with how I'm feeling now .

I'm just a little weak around the area now on the left hand side .

He gave me a really thorough hands on examination and strength tests

He is happy with my range of movements and my general strength and he has given me some excersises to do to improve my control and ballence.

He is more than happy for me to continue running as I am .

He may not even want to see me again but asked me to call him in 3 or 4 weeks .

Happy days 😬

Yes it is !

It has been getting better daily but it's been so slow , but to get the thumbs up from someone like him is reassuring πŸ™‚

That is excellent news Ian ! Am so glad it’s officially not serious ... the steps you took to slow down and cease for a bit were spot on ... now get going for that 10k πŸ˜‚πŸ˜€πŸ˜‚πŸƒπŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸ‘

But seriously glad you have had the advice and confirmation.

True consolidation for a while !

Great news, I am so pleased for you Instructor 57...you’ve obviously taken care of yourself when you needed to.

Yes, you’ve got a really good Osteopath there...

Well done and hopefully lots more running πŸƒ

Sorry must have missed that my memory isn’t great!

Your sport’s physio sounds just the man !πŸ‘¨

Yes, he couldn't be better .

I saw an osteopath twice originally as the sports physio hadn't started working again at the time and I felt I needed some treatment.

But now he's working I have switched to him , especially good as he is a runner !

Brilliant!! It’s so much better when they understand isn’t it? My GP is a runner too and very supportive with my hip issues. She referred me quickly and has been great from day one

Good luck with your physio 🀞πŸ’ͺ

All sounds positive. Well done for looking after yourself too and not pushing a bad situation. Your recovery time has been shorter than it could have been because you’ve rested when you didn’t want to. Great news

Thank you !

Yes, I think your right .

I definitely needed those 16 days off .

I think it would have been so much worse if I'd just tried to continue to Graduate at that time

Amazing news! How perfect/lucky to get a physio with multi marathon running experience! It really does make a difference when a physio has specific experience of your needs - few and far between!
