I've had this back niggle for a while and finally got in to see the physiotherapist. Not only did I get some exercises to strengthen my core muscles (which are weak), he totally encouraged my running and also the new strength training program I'm looking to start. I was nervous to go in case they said I had to stop running (at week 9!) but I actually felt great when I was there because he told me I needed to be active and strong-- and I was already taking steps in the right direction. Asked me when I ran last, and I answered "yesterday" and he seemed impressed and pleased. So week 9 run 1 tomorrow!

Yes, very relieved! Thank you. I've got a bad cold this afternoon, currently it seems like Week 9 will have to wait a day or two as I hack and cough and splutter under a big fluffy blankie.
