Second physio appointment yesterday. He was pleased with how things are going, which is good, and spent some more time working on my lower back. To me it just felt like he was pressing on bone, but every so often he'd press on a bit and say 'is that bit sore?' and I'd think 'yes! How did you know that bit would hurt when the bit right next to it was fine?'. It felt amazing afterwards when he asked me to bend backwards - I hadn't realised it was possible to bend that far back. Also, I don't know if I'm imagining it, but I think my weird wonky ribs are not quite as wonky as they were. It's like magic!
Still got to keep doing my exercises as much as I can, and back for another visit next week. Fingers crossed the magic continues and the pain starts to ease off.
Enjoy your running, wherever you're at

Hi Eiralas, Good to hear you sounding so positive. Must be time for your next bunch of flowers.🌹🥀🌻🌷I wonder whether the cat is enjoying the extra sofa time? And I wonder how many appointments your magic hands physic thinks it will take before the first post physio run. Hope you continue to make good progress.
Hi 61! Ah those flowers are lovely ♥️ thank you The cat has had a couple more attempts to help with my exercises and definitely likes the added lap-time. I guess I'll just have to see how things go - still feeling the pain while walking so no running allowed until that goes.
Pain while walking! Oh dear! That is not good to hear. Let us hope that the exercises that Mr Magic Hands has prescribed help to make you pain free soon. Enjoy the cat cuddles. 🐈
To be honest the pain while walking has been there for ages - but very low level so I'd kind of blanked it out and assimilated it as 'normal'. The running brought it to the fore. Mr Magic Hands - love it! That will be his nickname from now on in my mind Cat cuddles are a definite compensation, and she is a very cuddly cat
So glad you are on the mend! I'm a big fan of physio, and doing the 'homework'.... I had years of pain from a locked sacro-illiac joint. I went to an osteopath when the pain was too much, but soon after it would lock up again. At one time couldn't walk 100m without being bent over double and relying on a stick. In the end I went to a physio because I realised it wasn't the joint that was the problem, now, it was weak soft tissue that couldn't hold the bones in the right place - because it had been like it for so long. I've not been troubled by lower back pain for a few years now
That's excellent news that the physiotherapy was able to sort out your sacroiliac joint issues, and very encouraging for me to hear. Sorry you had to go through it in the first place though.
That's ok - it was a learning experience! At least it's better now I have friends going through a lot worse with their backs at the moment so I have nothing to complain about - lucky to have had an early warning I reckon!
Thank you - I hope so! Though suspect this problem has been there for a long time and I hadn't realised, so it may take a while to undo it. Fingers crossed though.
