Hi guys, I've been following these posts for a while and they've been really helpful so I thought you might be able to help me out with a query!
I've just completed my first 5k in 30:38 which I'm happy about. Last time I did C25k 10 years ago it was taking me around 35 minutes before I quit running after one week of consolidation. I feel much more motivated this time. Hopefully I'll crack under 30 minutes soon!
This was this first time I've run without Laura so I just needed something to tell me how far I'd ran at intervals, or even just when I'd finished the 5k. I put my phone in a sock and put it down the front of my shorts to run so it's too difficult for me to check during the run! I tried Nike Running Club as I'd heard this tells you how far you've run but it was awful! It was a very cheesy, American motivational guy and although at first I found it funny by the end I wanted to kill him! Is there an app that just tells you when you've run 1k etc. with asking you how you slept last night or asking you to make 'physical music' with your running? Thanks!

🤣physical music with running... i sound like a marching band in that case!
I don't know any apps sorry, i intend on using my smart watch but i must admit have Jo in my ear helped motivate so i am keen to see if there is 'life after jo' in an app.
Well done btw, i can't actually imagine i will ever make that having just started week1.
Oooh, I've been using Strava to track my runs along with the C25K and didn't realise that it had this feature! Just checked the settings and it was there all along. Thanks!
Strava well tell you - you can choose every km or 0.5km on the settings on the record page. It also tells you time per km and total time so far - all in a flat tone with no other annoying chat!
MapMyRun also does what you're asking for I think - pops up every km and tells you your pace (overall and for that km). I'm sure there's a time setting instead of a distance setting but I haven't checked.
