I love my new socks!

Just done my W3D2 and I'm still feeling really motivated. I really thought my run today would be in heavy drizzle that we have had here on the south coast but then the sky cleared and it was beautiful!

I also tried out my new Injinji "toed" socks which I have read so much about. I also use the More Mile double layer socks but these toed ones knock the double layer right out of the park for me. I thought toed socks were something that you wore at Christmas for fun but these are really comfortable. They just seemed so natural and no rubbing sweaty toes. I'm now a massive fan after one wearing! 😍 They are expensive for a sock but who cares if you don't get blisters and hot-spots!

Well worth getting dearer socks that don't cause any blisters or hot spots, onwards and upwards to run 3 of week 3. 😊 🏃🏾

I like injinji too though usually only wear them for a long run. Good socks are important! Well done on your progress 💪🏽

I have both Injini and Toetoe socks. Injini tend to be better made nowadays, I find, which is reflected in the price.

Wait until you hear about toed shoes. 🤯

Do you mean those toed Vibram Five Fingers? Why do they call them fingers? They're toes! :D

Not sure about those. I have very short toes. My podiatrist says I have comically dinky toes! I would definitely have to try before buy.

A few people wear them at the gym and they just look so weird. I'm sure kids would go "Mummy, why does that woman have frog feet?", lol!

They're called Five Fingers because it's a translation from Italian. Vibram is an Italian rubber company.

I wear them full time. I've not tried running truly barefoot yet.

Sometimes they're called foot gloves. Coincidentally the German for the type of glove you wear on your hands is Handschuh (hand shoe).

Ah yes, I can see your avatar picture in said footwear! Thanks for explaining the meaning.

It would be wonderful to run barefoot as nature made us (earth grounding etc.) but I would worry about treading on something not so good, there is so much litter about. Even when I go swimming at the local beach I wear foot gloves....too many discarded fish hooks, glass, sharp stones, bits of metal and the odd weever fish.

Wow, they look like as if you have just done an ultramathon! And that is a seriously eclectic playlist. The Herman's Hermit track.....hahahaha! I was grooving along to Ashton Gardner & Dyke's Resurrection Shuffle at some point. It described my running style to a tee! :D

A friend of mine has those and the shoes - she swears by them! Wouldn’t do for my webbed toes though 🙃🤣🤪
