Haven’t posted since graduation but miss the page and the support! Managed 3.5k on my graduation run at the end of June.. now just done my 3rd 5k! First 5k was in 42 mins and fastest was 37, slowly getting the time down and feel so much better! Eventually hope to get it in the 30 mins but not putting any pressure on myself!

Hope everyone is getting on ok! 🏃‍♀️🏃🏃🏼‍♂️🏃 🏃🏾‍♀️ xx

Well done you - we’re about the same as I graduated beginning of July and just done my third 5k not as fast as you but I’m working on it. Loving the sense of achievement 😊🏃🏼‍♀️👍

That sounds like great work to me! Well done on hitting 5K and toppling your own pb's! 💪🙂

You are doing wonderfully. 😄

There is no need to do without the support here, either this forum or the bridge to 10k forum would always make you welcome & cheer you on. (Do you know that there is a consolidation group for people at your stage?) 😄

You’ll see it if you scroll down to the pinned posts. It’s called August consolidation club - I guess it refreshes each month. It’s a good place for post C25K.

I also use the Bridge to 10k forum. - So far, I have used the Magic 10 program on there by time and built up to running for one hour. I will now use it to gradually build up to 10 K, but I’m not in a rush (I’m 61 & keen to avoid injury) and will certainly take more than the eight weeks of the program.

Lots of choice with the support of virtual running friends. 😄

Hi there x

How did you get the 5k faster? Any specific training or just putting the miles in your legs regularly?

I love the support on this forum aswell - it is amazing bunch of people and no question seems to be to daft to ask.

Hi I just kept going out and eventually got faster! Nothing specific! Although a few people have suggested doing short sprints in between jogging I’m just not that brave yet ha!

So basically it is patience and being regular 😀 I guess I can stick to that x
