So I've very nearly graduated yey.....but I m only completing 3.75km in 30 mins and michael says I should be doing 5k!! Any advice on speeding up?! I'm faster than the first few weeks but also tired out whilst running! Thanks ๐๐ข๐

Get the graduation run out of the way and then either go long and increase your time (something like bridge to 5k) or do some speed work (something like a 5k race plan) either will make you faster over your normal time.
3.75 is absolutely fine. Hardly anyone does 5k at graduation. Good luck!
Ignore Michael! The only requirement is to run for 30 mins. After graduation you can build up to 5k, or work on pace if that's your thing. It's not mine but I can run 5k now - just not in 30 mins!
The 5k thing is only a guess - itโd be absurd to expect people of all ages shapes and sizes to run at the same speed. As it turns out itโs not a very accurate guess - for a happy reason. The programme is being taken up by far more older people, heavier people and less fit people than the programme designers expected. Thatโs good news but it means the average speed is slower. Even a accurate average would still only be an average though and half of us would still be slower than that
I graduated a month ago, on week 9 I was actually running for 32 mins simply to get me to the 4k, so we both have a similar pace. I personally would get your graduation run done, feel anazing about it and then think about distance. I struggled getting to the 4k mark, 4 weeks later and I'm running 5k twice a week by simply running that little bit further each run and my time is getting better too. If I can do it.....seriously, anyone can. Good luck and let us know how you get on.
The app is really just to get you running for 30 mins non stop. I have graduated and have still not run 5K! I did all my running on the treadmill but since graduation have started venturing outside which is a different ball game. Just trying to build up distance at the minute, not really bothered about how long it takes me, I will work on that gradually. Good luck and happy running!
