I’m due to do the 3rd run of week 9 tomorrow !! I admit I managed 30 mins already in week 7 but think I peaked early and have struggled to maintain it. Then I discovered that I was no where near 5k so decided I should try to reach 5k but calculate it would take me 40 mins which seems unachievable right now. (I’m so slow I was overtaken by a crying toddler the other day ! Embarrassing !!). Anyway - I’ve only just discovered this forum and read the post about what next and decided tomorrow I’m just going to aim for 30 mins and be kind to myself. I have a significant birthday in 3 weeks and this programme was my present to myself. Feel very proud and grateful I’ve been able to complete the course (or at least tomorrow I will have !!). Keep at it folks !! Solidarity !

I DID IT !!! I’m so proud ! And what a difference a day makes ! Seriously was worried and nervous about this run because I didn’t sleep well, my hay fever has been worse, and despite having managed 30 mins on the first run of the week, I couldn’t quite complete run 2 - (I cheated ! I managed to run for 30 mins but had a 5 minute break after 26 mins - my legs just stopped). But today I just felt like I could keep on running and running, and I crossed the 40 minute 5k barrier. So happy ! I’ll probably pay for over doing it, but will definitely revert to ‘consolidation’ after a couple of days off. I guess it was cool weather and it was morning. Just had a piece of apple pie in celebration. Hurrah !!!! Thank you for the support !!
