Working up to 10K

So since graduating a few weeks ago I've done six consolidation runs at 30 minutes and have sped up a little bit. Yesterday I did my first 33-minute run. I've decided to go up in increments like the plan as I'm not at 5k yet, although I'm not far off.

How would you recommend working up to 10k after that?

I have. I looked at the 10k plan I’m bridge to 10k and was a little daunted by it.

You are not ready for a 10k plan if you have not yet reached 5k.

As suggested in the guide to post C25k running, just increase one run per week within the 10% rule and in a short while you will hit 5k.

Then you can decide whether to continue that route up to 10k or follow a structured plan.

You can follow the plan on bridge, or you can carry on as you have started, it’s safe as you’re adding within the 10% weekly increment. What I wouldn’t have the inclination, or time, to do would be to extend all my runs to 10k... one should suffice and you’ll have fresher legs at the end of each week.
