Reading all the wonderful reports on all your very successful runs and have taken the bull by the horns and signed up for a local 5k run on Sunday 10th Aug (week and a half away) and for an all women 10k in October in Belfast starting in the Titanic quarter of the city. So really looking forward to both. Was out at 7.30 this morning and did 5k in 36mins so really pleased with myself.

Whilst I'm not a very prolific poster, I am an avid follower of all the posts and advice here and thats what gives me the encouragement to get out there running and to now progress and sign up to new goals

Well done - I find there's nothing like the feeling and build up to a race... it's only a race against yourself really, but the atmosphere is such a buzz!

Have fun! Keep smiling! :)

Well done Gran! Did you know that you can sign up for races as team NHSC25K?

I do and get a discount for being affiliated to a running club. This running club!

Good innit!

You'll love it. I was all apprehensive before my two recent runs, but the whole event thing is just magical. And yes, we'd all love to see a report. Pictures of medals, if they hand them out, are almost mandatory!!!
