Already very warm this morning at 5.30 a.m. Had the usual struggle for the first 5 minutes, but getting used to that, now!
I can’t invent drama where there was no drama! All went according to plan and I’m very pleased to get this run under my belt so that I can look forward to Week 9! Did I just say that!?
No personal bests today. I was just a tad disappointed, but reminded myself of how far I’ve come on this journey and that I couldn’t expect to achieve a personal best every time I go out for a run! (I was expecting exactly that). I still ran for 3K and my pace was only 4 seconds slower that my Wednesday morning run at 8:38. So all in all a solid run!

Well done Jools! It’s definitely good that you’ve had a run that you have had no PBS in, sometimes it just happens and you’ll easily make some PBS on your next run. Sometimes it’s good just to run and not worry about any PB’s as they can slow down sometimes or you’ll get them all at once. Good luck for your next run!
No, but there was a problem with Strava first thing. I’ve tried disengaging and reestablishing the connection between The Garmin App and Strava and also rebooting the phone. Can’t work out how to upload the activity manually as can’t see an export button on the app. Ah well! I’ll have to let that one go!
Well done 👍👏it is a real achievement to get this far. I have just completed W8R3 this morning also. Yes, you are right about the heat; I set out at 06:15 and with part of the route facing due east, and no shade whatsoever, it was quite a struggle keeping cool. I found today the hardest of the week, I think I went a little too fast in the beginning and started paying for it at the end, but I managed the full 28 mins and I think with a slightly slower pace, week 9 will be fine. All going well, I will cross the finishing line a week today, now that will feel good. All the best for next week and your graduation 😁.
