Just back from Week 5 Run 3 and must say I've enjoyed this week. Saw it as more of a challenge and a watershed week rather than an obstacle. Got my head around it and used my new running watch to steady my pace. Cannot recommend some sort of watch highly enough as it has prevented me overworking at this early stage.
Run 1 and 2 were fine and then the 3rd run loomed. But gritted my teeth in the warm up walk ready for the task ahead - a 20 minute non stop run. Not done that since school over 40 years ago lol.
But then lo and behold a song came up on my playlist. "Eye Of The Tiger" by Survivor and I knew straight away I'd got this. Finished in the slow rain and felt I'd got plenty left in the tank. Roll on Week 6....πππ

Great post - Eye of theTiger is a great running tune!! Sounds like you've got the mental approach right - so well done on completing that 20 minute run.π It is one of the best in the program!
A running watch can really help motivate us as we track our progress - which one do you have?
Thanks. Really enjoyed week 5 to be honest. I've got the Honor Magic watch 2. Bought it after a recommendation from this forum and made by Huawei so links up with their health app on my phone. Seems like a very good watch with loads of features so good value for money as far as I can see.ππ
Eye of the Tiger, a very good song to run to, great choice, congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran ππΎ π
Eye of The Tiger π excellent....I recently downloaded The Rocky Story album itβs the music from the Rocky movies....the training montage track is perfect, itβs the music from the one where he fought the Russian Ivan Drago.....you vill lose, I must break you π great stuff, give it a go π
