After my w5r2 on Tuesday, which went surprisingly well, I headed out this morning for run 3. This is the BIG one, and I confess I was really nervous about it. Twenty minutes on the trot (pun intended) is a big ask, especially for someone like me. I've been coping so far safe in the knowledge that it's broken up into manageable chunks of jogging with some recovery time walking in between. Anyway, what can I tell you? I did it. The full twenty minutes. No stopping. No collapsing on the side of the road. Woohoo. All I can say to any doubters out there is this. It CAN be done. If a complete couch potato like me can get to the point where 20 minutes of continuous (slow) jogging is do-able then anyone can do it. Bring on week 6.
