I'm a little disappointed as I planned to run today , but I've been in the loo since 0400 with diarrhoea and I feel I've been kicked .No fever or Covid symptoms (retired nurse, I've triaged myself) but I must be a runner because I'm gutted I can't go out ! Any words of wisdom?

Only to wish you well and to say it sounds as though you made the right decision. The running will still be there and you won't lose any significant levels of fitness in a few days. You're a nurse so you know to let your body recover after diarrhoea as you may feel a bit dehydrated - get well soon!

Hope you recuperate swiftly. But it is a good thing that we’re missing our runs when they’re impossible. It means the program has worked.

I am always amazed how I often the night before I am unsure that I will manage to do my run and next morning I just fall out of bed and go for my run as if it’s nothing.

Hope you get better soon to enjoy your next run. 🤒

I had to delay my W9 R2 by an extra 2 days as had a bad headache I couldn't shake off and was worried that small break would set me back. I managed it yesterday and it was tough but I don't think the break set me back physically, it was more a mental thing.

If you aren't well I would listen to your body and recover before you attempt to run.

Yeah, don’t worry about the running, your health is far more important. Get yourself better, then when you’re ready, go again 😊

I had to delay my W5R2 for 5 days and ran it today. Was really nervous but found it the easiest run so far, so don't feel bad for listening to your body and giving it the rest it needs. Your next run will be better for it. Good luck and feel better soon.
