Week 5 run 3 done!

I did the 20 Minute run (if you can call that a run πŸ˜…) tonight. Quite chuffed as this was a big step up from the previous runs. I found the last 3 or 4 minutes quite tough but slowing down even more got me through it.

Well done! I saw this as a milestone and 20 mins solid running! πŸƒπŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Thank you. I used to run quite a lot in the past (incl. a half marathon) but have now started again after a 3.5 year break of no running at all. I always find it really tough in the summer (maybe because of my hay-fever?) but am determined not to give up. In that respect, I am looking forward to winter! Now looking forward to the challenges of week 6.

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran πŸƒπŸΎ 😊

Thank you. Awaiting the infamous week 6 that I am now quite curious about (as a psychological experiment-what happens in our mind when we re- build walking breaks into our runs).

The mind and the legs don't like going back to the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3, some long distance runners don't like to stop during a run as it interups their rhythm, other runners don't mind a short break.

Nice one. I did that run today and also found easier than I thought it would be. Best of luck with week 6.

I just completed this run today! Also was at a snails pace but still counts. I found the first half the hardest, don't know why.

Well done for finishing this milestone run. The first few minutes are almost all the time horrible until the body understands what is asked of it and then settles into a rhythm.
