I did the 20 Minute run (if you can call that a run π ) tonight. Quite chuffed as this was a big step up from the previous runs. I found the last 3 or 4 minutes quite tough but slowing down even more got me through it.

Week 5 run 3 done!
Well done! I saw this as a milestone and 20 mins solid running! ππ½ββοΈπππ
Thank you. I used to run quite a lot in the past (incl. a half marathon) but have now started again after a 3.5 year break of no running at all. I always find it really tough in the summer (maybe because of my hay-fever?) but am determined not to give up. In that respect, I am looking forward to winter! Now looking forward to the challenges of week 6.
Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran ππΎ π
Thank you. Awaiting the infamous week 6 that I am now quite curious about (as a psychological experiment-what happens in our mind when we re- build walking breaks into our runs).
Nice one. I did that run today and also found easier than I thought it would be. Best of luck with week 6.
Welcome to the forum and well done your progress.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Enjoy your journey.
I did that one this morning! Found it though but managed to finish it!! Keep going!
I just completed this run today! Also was at a snails pace but still counts. I found the first half the hardest, don't know why.
