I posted on Monday saying I had just restarted having taken a break through the lockdown.
I reached week 8. I completed the dreaded (but REALLY not that bad) W5 R3 during storm Dennis. I was confident that graduation was heading my way with just one more week’s work and I knew I could do it.
I’ve just completed W1 R2 and am completely floored by the heat! How on earth does anyone survive this?! It’s dreadful!

If you can run first thing in the morning you will avoid the worst of the heat, I ran a 10K at 6.30am today when the temperature was 13C, the weather forecast is for the temperature on Thursday and Friday morning not to fall below 19C in many parts of England and Wales although in Scotland its to go back down to 13C.
As above, not running in the heat is the best strategy for running in the heat 🤣. Lots of focus on hydration, slow running, soaking my beanie before I put it on, and running where there’s a high likelihood of a refreshing breeze gets me through relatively short runs if I can’t not run in it!
